StarStarStarStarStar Too Cool !!!
User: Jersey Bob, Feb 20, 2012

Pros:  Works great
Cons:  None

This little device was a life saver. Jersey has the hands free laws and I already got burned once for talking and driving and paid the $125 fine. This is the bomb, voice dial and plays through the cars audio. Sounds crystal clear and people have even commented on how much better they can hear me when Im using it. Spend the money on one of these, not a fine like I did.
StarStarStarStarStar Best I Have Found
User: Dave Lindberg, Jan 20, 2011

Pros:  FM Transmitter, ease of use without looking at device, it just works
Cons:  People say I sound "more distant"

I bought the Motorola T505 a few years ago. It have a great design and you can easily navigate the speakerphone without looking at it! This is a big plus when driving.

The battery lasts a very long time. I recharge the unit about once a month when I use it everyday for at least a few hours per day.

The speakerphone mic does not have any dual mic cancellation. But even so, everyone can hear me just fine - but some people do mention that I sound a bit distant when talking at times.

Overall, it just works! And isnt that what we just want in a device?

P.S. I have tried the Motorola Roadster because, but it did not work well with: using the device unseen, it did not turn on or off properly, and the bluetooth is wonky and turns on and off by itself. The sound quality of the mic was the best when it worked. Id rather have a bit "worse" mic quality for a unit that works 100 in all other areas.
StarStarStarStarStar works great !!
User: Mike B, Dec 19, 2010

Pros:  long battery life, sends sound to car system !!
Cons:  none

This unit is great ! Battery lasts a long time..easy to recharge with car lighter adapter. Sends the signal to your in Car audio system, so the quality is great and your surrounded by sound. It finds a good FM frequency no problem, announces it. All you do is tune to that station, and all calls or music are heard in good quality !!! All without any wires!
StarStarStarStarStar Works Great
User: Kevin Fink, Nov 20, 2010

Pros:  Lightweight, Touch of a Button
Cons:  -

Have had mine for a year and never had a problem. Dont use it much through the truck speakers. Used it with a Blackberry Tour and now with my iPhone4, Works Great!
StarStarStarStarStar Above my expectations
User: Gerry OQuinn, Nov 4, 2010
Works great. I started using it without reading the instructions. I will read them to fine-tune things.
StarStarStarStarStar Wonderful!!!
User: Eric Terwilliger, Oct 28, 2010

Pros:  Simple - It just plain works!!!
Cons:  No manual tuner

This is hands down the best bluetooth device I have used with my phone. And because I use my Evo 4G as my mp3 player, I use this thing ALL THE TIME. I have never had anyone ask if I was on speakerphone. Oh, and did I mention that I have a Wrangler which is topless as often as possible. I do wish that I could manually tune to a desired station at times, but thats just nitpicking. The automatic tuner works just fine. If youre looking for a hands free unit this is THE ONE to get.
StarStarStarStarStar Motorokr T505
User: Dennis McFadden, Jun 30, 2010

Pros:  FM Transmission, FM Tuner Scan, Portability, Charge Longevity.
Cons:  Unsecure Clip.

This is by far the best blue tooth device Ive ever used. It requires setup as you enter your vehicle, but afterwards, youre all set. It will scan for the best available FM channel and announce which channel to tune in your stereo. It streams your music over FM, aand pauses the music to take a call, or give you directions if your in your navigation app. Its just awesome. I highly recommend this unit.
StarStarStarStarStar Did exactly what I expected
User: swerth ODonnell, Apr 13, 2010
It does exactly what I need it to do. Plays the MP3s on my BB clearly using blue tooth on my cars radio and when someone calls it announces the event and then I switch seamlessly into hands free cellular conversation...then back to my MP3. I use it with a 8130 BB Pearl and spend about an hour talk time per day while mobile...good value
StarStarStarStarStar I love this!
User: Courtney Y., Apr 6, 2010

Pros:  That you can route your phone calls, listen to downloaded music as well as stream radio apps, (such as Pandora, iheart radio, slacker radio)
Cons:  That the station quality is not quite high yet. its sorta hit or miss. Either I get a great station or I get a crappy one. .

This is the best $50 I ever spent. I got mine from Amazon they just so happen to have it cheaper, but I can talk wirelessly stream and listen to music. There are times when the radio signal isnt great, but nothing is perfect. Overall, not much to complain about here.
StarStarStarStarStar Decent Handsfree
User: David Thurman, Nov 21, 2009

Pros:  Easy to hear calls via FM radio
Cons:  Cant find any

I bought this originally for my HTC TP and then got a Palm Pre. Sync with HTC was problamatic at times, with the Palm almost 90 sync 1st time. I have used the handsfree when driving and have to say it makes driving easy while doing business with my volunteers and foster homes as well as when checking out a rescue. (I do Australian Shepherd rescues)

For music and my podcasts, it is most excellent. I would buy another one if this one ever failed on me. Not a fan of BT ear pieces when driving.
StarStarStarStarStar As good as I imagined...
User: Daniel J, Sep 27, 2009

Pros:  STRONG FM transmitter, easy operation
Cons:  None!!!

I have been accused of setting my expectations unreasonably high when dealing with things like this. I have to say that I imagined that this unit would be easy to operate, have a super strong FM transmitter and have a good mic built in. I have to say this unit lived up to its 5 star rating here on crackberry!! You wont be disappointed.

User: Craig Fuller, Sep 21, 2009
For me it was well worth the cost. I like to use the FM transmitter at friends houses to play music. They are always impressed. Excellent piece of technology.
StarStarStarStarStar Great bluetooth
User: Tina Walker, Sep 11, 2009
Connects to the Pre easily and sounds great through the FM for calls and for music. Speaks caller ID#. Had problems before with FM transmission quality in other products, but find this to be superior to anything I have used and am completely happy with it.
StarStarStarStarStar The Best Bluetooth speakerphone yet
User: Matt Armani, Jul 9, 2009

Pros:  Music and Callers voices are load and clear, the built in speaker is loud and clear, and I am heard fine by others
Cons:  Cannot voice dial or skip tracks, but that is a Iphone 3gs problem

I have used one after another as these units become avaliable, I have never been please with the built in speaker or fm transmitter sound quality.
I took a shot and bought this unit at bestbuy 99.00.
To my suprise the sound level and quality though the built in speaker is loud and clear, I called everyone in my contacts and they all could hear me loud and clear.
The sound and lack of static when playing music through the fm transmitter was a very pleasant supprise, way above and beyond anything I have heard before, I drove around all day on the same fm channel with no problems with the signal.
I cant say enough about this unit, I am very happy motorola got it right.
Now if apple would only make it so the Iphone 3g, 3gs can use the voice dial feature of these bluetooth units I will be totaly satisfied..
StarStarStarStarStar Excellent addition to my BBs capabilities
User: David Frost, Sep 15, 2008
This is a well-designed device with some great features for the mobile user. It works very well, accomplishing just what is claimed.

Rarely mentioned in reviews is that it powers up, connects with the phone, and converts to FM so quickly, that all that can be accomplished while the phone is still ringing.

The only downside is that the FM transmission feature requires rather high volume setting, so the the radio usually has to be turned up to hear voice or music, and theres a bit of a shock when it is turned off.

StarStarStarStarStar Best Bluetooth to FM car kit on the market
User: Shannon Woodcock, May 23, 2008

Pros:  Works like a charm
Cons:  Internal spaker could be a bit louder but heck..you end up using FM and your cars stereo anyway

I got this baby from WM Experts two weeks ago.

It is SWEET. Up till now have been using the USB to mini stero plug to cassete tape adapter becase my vans stereo doesnt have a AUX input.

Pairing was a breeze. Its cool how it searches for a clear FM channel then annoinces it over the internal speaker. Speakerphone is very good, mic quality is good. Other parties can hear me fine. Does a great job of pausing the music...reading out the incoming callers phone #. Music quality is good. It wont impress the die hard audiophiles. But it saves me having to burn audio cds of my favorite music and/or using the crappy cassette deck adapter.

I let my brother borrow it. He drives a truck. MIC quality even in that noisy enviroment worked very well, hes ordering one soon.
StarStarStarStarStar Great unit for Bluetooth Hands free
User: D Canell, May 12, 2008

Pros:  Easy pairing, Easy to use
Cons:  Ipod music sounds like regular FM Broadcast

The connection / pairing was unbelievably easy. Less than 2 minutes to be up and running. The speaker on the unit is extremely clear. My contacts tell me that it sounds very good to them with little or no echo effect. This is one of the few purchases that I can say Im 100 satisfied with.

The FM feature to send the music thru your car speakers is a little less than desired. If you have a good CD player in your car, then you will quickly revert back to that. If you are on a long road trip, I could see changing to the ipod with the amount of music available. Its not unbearable, just that you get used to a higher quality of music with the CD.

If you live in CA. buy this one to stay legal after July 1, 2008
StarStarStarStarStar best gadget ever bought
User: jorge colmenares, Mar 26, 2008

Pros:  all
Cons:  none

This has been the best gadget I have ever bought.

Very easy to use, t works (even though I have a treo650 and it always loses the pairing or hangs with blue tooth, not new in this junk).

I use it to listen to music in the car and as a speaker phone.

Recommended 100.
StarStarStarStarStar This Product Rocks !!!!!!!!!!
User: Scott Thompson, Mar 22, 2008

Pros:  Integrates with car stereo
Cons:  None

I bought this product being skeptical about the reception of this device, but Im glad I have it now. The link between my phone and the device work perfectly. There is no interference, and the station finder technology always ensures me clear reception.

Also, the station finder uses the same radio station everytime (unless you tell it to browse for a new one) so I can set one of the preset stations on my stereo to that channel.

Super easy to use and to set up

I give this product an A++

-A Satisfied Customer
StarStarStarStarStar Loved this for almost a year.
User: Nick LaVeaux, Feb 9, 2012

Pros:  Works excellently well for both music and taking calls.
Cons:  No line-in option. Could connect faster.

I will keep this short. I love this little device, it looks good attached to the visor in my car, and it gets the job done. Connecting directly through bluetooth eliminates much of the signal interferance that comes from using a wire to connect to most other FM transmitters. You get to hear your music much more clearly, with less worry about signal-to-noise issues.

My biggest grip is not about the item itself, but about how much it is being sold for here. I originally purchased mine for my OG Droid and now enjoy it with my Galaxy Nexus. It is the exact same model, but this is listed at a much higher price than what I paid for it. I bought mine for about $28, new and shipped free to my doorstep. To be fair, I wont say where, but it is NOT hard to find at that price. I hope that helps any potential buyers.
StarStarStarStarStar one of the best out there
User: matt d, Feb 7, 2011
bought this product hooked it right up to my car the battery last long ive had it for about 2 weeks now and still on the same charge !! great speaker volume and great little added features it plays music from my phone to the device which i think is pretty cool the only bad part and why i didnt give it 5 stars is because you have to talk very loud for the person your talking with to hear you almost as if im standing in a crowd and i have to talk over people other then that i would buy agian !!
StarStarStarStarStar Pretty Good / Decent Value
User: Vernon Smith, Dec 13, 2010

Pros:  Ease of Use, Unlimited Frequencies
Cons:  Seems to have lost transmission strength a little

I bought this hands-free device almost a year ago. I have been very satisfied with it so far. It has certainly lived up to the $130 I paid for it at the time.
Initial setup was simple. I probably couldve even figured it out without cinsulting the manual.
It has six buttons: Front: Talk, and play/pause. Sides: Two buttons to skip up or down through music playlist. Back: Bluetooth conection, and FM connection. Most have multi-function capabilities.
With one touch it will search for the next best frequency and announces it twice. Call and music sound quality is good. Voice (outgoing) quality is good as long as one realizes that it is still a speakerphone and the conversation needs to be controlled to account for the slight delay. Obviously everyone in the vehicle can hear the call well, and the microphone will pick up clear conversation from anywhere in the vehicle.
It will stay on for about half an hour, so jumping in a out of the vehicle for errands is no problem as far as dis/re-connecting.

Personally, I connect every time I get into the vehicle. I will usually have a music playlist going, but can turn off the FM transmitter with a "long press" of the FM button to listen to the regular vehicle radio. This still leaves the speaker enabled, both for calls and music. Switching between music and calls is seamless, but that may be the mobile device more than the handsfree.
Something I have done on occasion is play music for a bonfire or tailgating party. This works well, except that the Bluetooth and FM range is probably only about 25 yards.

All in all, its a great device even thouth it is old. It could be a great value.
StarStarStarStarStar Awesome
User: Josh Robinson, Apr 14, 2010
I just purchased this yesterday at Wal-Mart. Love it! The voice quality is great, Sprint Nav works well on it, as does my music. The only issue that Ive had is that my phone has died (restarted) several times since I connected to it.....most likely just a coincidence. This was a great purchase to make my Pre even better!
StarStarStarStarStar Not so great for the other end user
User: Martha Morris, Sep 6, 2008

Pros:  I love the FM transmitter and the bluetooth works well.
Cons:  The people I call often complain they cant hear me

It is a good unit. I agree with one opinion that the buttons are difficult to use. From my end, I hear calls and audiobooks very clearly. I often get complaints from the people I call that they cant hear me very well. I dont know if I will keep using it.
StarStarStarStarStar Misleading
User: Matt Romy, Jul 29, 2008
Ok, this is a fun Bluetooth device for the iPhone 3G... Bluetooth connection is solid, FM transmitter works great with phone features.... BUT the unit does NOT, I repeat, does NOT stream music over Bluetooth. That was one of the selling features that I wanted it for.... however Apple doesnt currently support Bluetooth streaming of music for the iPhone 3G.
StarStarStarStarStar No real iPhone integration
User: Clarence Johnson, Jan 9, 2009

Pros:  Loud speaker
Cons:  No iPhone integration, Power button on back

I have an iPhone. Salesman said it would announce caller, which wasnt true. Dont like the way device connects to the clip. Prefer magnetic method used by Blueant SuperTooth to connect to clip. No music play through. Not sure but I dont think any bluetooth speakerphone can do that. To the iPhone, just another simple speakerphone.
StarStarStarStarStar Great electronics, ergonomics stink
User: Lisa P, May 30, 2008

Pros:  Great electronics, does what its supposed to do
Cons:  The unit casing gives absolutely no user feedback

Motorola...Its the electronics man! Ergonomics, Human Interaction who needs that? This is the most confusing device to use. The buttons all look the same, its big and clunky, I cant tell if Im hitting the power button or the FM button. Same with the volume buttons. Couldnt they color code anything? Couldnt they give a more tactile feel to the buttons so you know youve dont something. It keeps falling off of its visor bracket if you push it just the wrong way because youre trying to figure out if you pushed a button or not.

Who the heck designed this shell anyway. People you need to design for PEOPLE!
StarStarStarStarStar Not for the 8830 USER for sure
User: SHawn Brandt, Apr 24, 2009

Pros:  Handy Idea and great for NAV
Cons:  To much "fuzz". Bluetooth audio technology is just not there yet

I liked the ease of use, but the sound that gets to the stereo is really poor. I tried it with Curve, LG Voyager, and my 8830, in 4 different cars. It works great for Navigation. Hands-free phone calls are not clear. Incoming voice is so fuzzy, you feel like you have to pop you ears to stand the sound. Found myself playing with the Treble/Bass too much between function for it to be handy or have acceptable clarity. I have been through two T505 devices to be sure.
StarStarStarStarStar disappointed
User: Stacy E., Aug 28, 2008
Im writing this after dropping my unit off at the post office to be returned to the vendor. I had high hopes for this and am very disappointed. Already knew that I couldnt play iPhone music through it unless I bought a $60 A2DP adapter.

What I didnt expect was poor overall performance and some hardware inconveniences. 1) Nobody could hear me. i also left voicemails for myself at work and home and tried my voice at 3 volumes: normal speaking, louder and shouting. All three were unintelligible on both voicemails.

it is impractical and dangerous to have to press buttons on the back of the unit when it is on your visor and you are driving. Its when youre driving that youre most likely to have to change stations.

having to return this is a real bummer.
StarStarStarStarStar Great product
User: Frank Locust, May 24, 2008

Pros:  sounds great both calls and music, easy connect and fm finder works great
Cons:  none

This is by far the best bluetooth nonwired product of its kind on the market, some reviews say its price is to high but I fell its a great price for what you are getting both hands free cell use and music from your phone thats played using your cars fm system, the voice coming from your car speaker system is clear and clean and the mic sends a clear and clean sound back to the other end of the call and wow the music sounds as if it were a cd.( the higher end car systems sound the best). It is easley paired to my AT&T 8525 and unlike wired systems the T505 can be moved from car to car and can even to used in the home or office. Great product.
